HGV tuning Swansea
Vehicle-specific ECU calibration for supported HGVs, trucks and commercial vehicles — focused on usable torque, drivability and the demands of working vehicles.
Commercial vehicle tuning
HGVs and working trucks have different priorities from a performance car. The useful gains are normally stronger torque delivery, cleaner response under load and a calibration that suits the vehicle's operating conditions.
We assess the vehicle first rather than applying a one-size-fits-all file. ECU type, software version, engine condition, transmission, mileage, existing faults and intended use all affect what is appropriate.
Where the platform is supported, the original ECU software is backed up before calibration and the completed tune is checked against the agreed goals.
Our HGV process
Commercial vehicles need a practical process that respects uptime, reliability and the legal requirements of road use.
Send registration, make/model, engine, mileage, postcode and the vehicle's normal workload.
We confirm the ECU, supported access method and whether mobile tuning is suitable for the vehicle.
Existing warning lights or faults are considered before software changes are made.
The agreed ECU calibration is applied with the original software retained as a backup.
Whether you run one working truck or manage several commercial vehicles, send us the details and we can confirm which vehicles are supported and what the realistic options are.

Supported HGV tuning can be arranged at a suitable home, yard, depot or workplace location across Swansea and surrounding areas.
If the ECU, access method or vehicle condition means the work is not suitable for a mobile visit, we will explain that before a booking is confirmed.
Road-use compliance
Road-going HGVs are subject to UK rules covering emissions systems, speed limiters, vehicle condition and roadworthiness. Any tuning or diagnostic work needs to respect those requirements.
We do not advertise unlawful removal or bypass of required road-use emissions equipment or regulated HGV speed-limiter requirements. Where a warning or fault is present, diagnosis comes first.
HGV tuning FAQ
Yes, Swansea Remaps can assess supported HGVs, trucks and commercial vehicles for ECU tuning. Availability depends on the vehicle, ECU, software version, condition and the type of work required.
A suitable calibration can improve torque delivery, throttle response and drivability. On some working vehicles it may also support more efficient progress when driven appropriately, but results vary by vehicle and duty cycle.
Supported work can be arranged as a mobile service across Swansea and surrounding areas where the vehicle, ECU access and job conditions are suitable. We confirm this before booking.
Road-going HGVs must comply with applicable UK speed-limiter, emissions and MOT requirements. We do not present unlawful road-use bypasses as normal tuning services.
