ECU remapping Swansea

Stage 1 & Stage 2 Remapping

Custom ECU calibration for stronger torque, sharper response and better drivability — delivered as a fully mobile service across Swansea and surrounding areas.

Stage 1

Sharper performance on a healthy standard vehicle.

Stage 1 is normally the right starting point for a standard car or van in good mechanical condition. The ECU calibration is refined to improve power delivery, torque response and drivability without requiring supporting hardware changes.

We focus on a smooth, usable result rather than chasing unrealistic headline figures. Actual gains vary by engine, ECU, fuel, transmission and vehicle condition.

Stage 1 can include

  • Improved torque and power delivery
  • Sharper throttle response
  • Improved drivability
  • Potential economy improvement when driven sensibly
  • Original ECU software backed up
  • Lifetime software warranty

Stage 2 depends on hardware

  • Vehicle-specific supporting modifications
  • Condition and capability of engine and transmission
  • Airflow, cooling and exhaust configuration
  • Fuel quality and intended use
  • Safe calibration limits for the specific setup
  • Mobile programming where the ECU allows it

Stage 2

Calibration built around suitable supporting modifications.

Stage 2 is for supported vehicles where hardware changes justify a different calibration strategy. We will tell you what your vehicle needs before booking rather than assuming every modified vehicle should run the same software.

If the current hardware or vehicle condition is not suitable, we will recommend the correct repair or preparation first.

For trucks and heavier commercial vehicles, see our HGV tuning & ECU remapping service.

Our process

Simple, mobile and vehicle-led.

From the first registration check to final handover, the vehicle determines the route.

1

Vehicle Check

Send registration, model, postcode and what you want from the vehicle.

2

Diagnostics

We check for faults or symptoms that should be addressed before tuning.

3

Calibration

The ECU software is read, backed up and calibrated for the agreed stage.

4

Final Checks

We verify operation and explain the completed work and aftercare.

Important

Insurance, warranty and emissions compliance still matter.

Performance modifications should be disclosed to your insurer. Manufacturer warranty implications vary by vehicle and policy. Road-going vehicles must remain compliant with applicable UK emissions and MOT requirements.
